High-Output LED Modules – Custom LED Module Manufacturer
What is an LED Linear Module?
An LED linear module is a rigid or semi-rigid lighting unit that integrates multiple LEDs on a linear PCB, designed to deliver uniform light output across defined areas.
Compared to flexible LED strip lights, linear modules offer improved thermal management, more stable installation, and consistent optical performance, making them suitable for professional lighting applications.
How Do LED Linear Modules Work?
LED linear modules operate as complete lighting systems where LED chips, PCB layout, thermal design, and power input work together to produce stable and efficient illumination.
The overall performance depends not only on the LEDs themselves, but also on how effectively heat is managed and how evenly light is distributed across the module.

Compared to LED Linear Module vs LED Strip Light
While LED strip lights are flexible and easy to install, LED linear modules provide superior structural stability, thermal management, and long-term reliability. Linear modules are typically preferred in professional and commercial applications where consistent performance is critical, while LED strips are more suitable for decorative or space-constrained installations. Learn more about LED Linear Modules vs. LED Strip Lights.
Key Differences:
Rigid & Flexibility: LED strips use flexible circuit boards for easy bending and shaping, whereas linear modules are rigid and built for structural stability and durability.
Installation Method: LED strips feature adhesive backing for quick installation, while linear modules are mounted using screws, clips, or connectors for more secure and permanent setups.
Heat Management & Lifespan: Linear modules offer better heat dissipation due to their rigid PCB design, resulting in improved stability and longer operational lifespan.
Applications: Linear modules are widely used in signage, lightboxes, and architectural lighting where uniform illumination is required, while LED strips are more commonly used for decorative lighting, accent lighting, or confined spaces.
Customization: LED strips can be cut at defined intervals for flexible length adjustment, while linear modules are typically fixed in size but can be connected for scalable configurations.

How to Wire LED Module Lights
SignliteLED’s LED module lights are not equipped with overvoltage, overcurrent, overload, or short-circuit current protection. Therefore, they must be used with LED drivers compliant with relevant standards to ensure safe and reliable operation.
⚠️ Our linear LED light modules are designed for series wiring and must be powered by constant-current LED drivers. Using constant-voltage LED drivers will cause irreversible damage to the modules.
How to Install Modular LED Lights
For most applications of LED module, screw-fastening is recommended to ensure a reliable thermal connection between the modular LED lights and the heat dissipation surface.
Additionally, the actual heat dissipation area may vary due to material properties, structural shape, external influences, and installation conditions. Depending on the specific characteristics of the heat sink, thermal paste or thermal double-sided tape may be required to reduce the module’s surface temperature.
The following installation steps are based on linear lighting fixtures.
