Customized Lengths

Some applications may require shorter sections of strip, so COB LED Strips can be cut to length at intervals of between 10 mm and 100 mm (depending on the type of COB Strip). You can cut the strip along the cut marks, which have a thin black line through the pads.

End-to-End Connections

When your application is interrupted, you can still connect one strip to another using 20-24 gauge wire or LED strip solderless connectors. COB strips only come with a plug or wire on one end, so you will need to solder or use a COB LED strip connector if you want to make more connections.

Please note: The maximum run length of the COB LED strip is 10 meters. After the maximum run length has been reached, the voltage drop will become too great and the end of the COB strip will become dim or even unlit.

Power

COB LED Strip requires a 12VDC or 24VDC input. This requires batteries or a 12V/24V power supply. COB light strips run at different power levels, so please check. Make sure you have enough power to run the specified length of light strip.

You can easily connect the power supply using simple wire-to-wire techniques (e.g., soldering, wire nuts, electrical tape, etc.). If you have a plug-in adapter with a barrel plug on the end, these screw-in terminal power plugs can help turn wire leads into simple plug-in connections.
